Overview
A home-services business needed a faster way for customers to price a job and book it without the usual back-and-forth. I designed and shipped a self-serve web app where a customer configures the job, gets an instant option-based estimate, books an appointment, and pays online — end to end. Behind it, an admin dashboard gives the business full visibility and control.
The challenge
Quoting was manual and slow, leaking leads between first interest and a confirmed booking. The estimator had to feel effortless for non-technical customers while capturing everything the business needed — and give the business visibility and control (drop-off insight and pricing) without adding complexity.
Approach
- Mapped the quote-to-booking journey and cut every non-essential step.
- Designed a guided, option-based estimator UI that produces an instant price.
- Wired in appointment booking and online payments so customers finish in one sitting.
- Designed an admin dashboard — user data, funnel/drop-off analytics, payment management, and price adjustment.
- Built the whole thing end-to-end with Lovable (AI app builder).
Outcome
A live, self-serve estimate-and-booking app that replaces manual quoting — customers go from instant estimate to paid booking on their own — backed by an admin dashboard that surfaces drop-off and lets the business manage pricing and payments.
